Strengths-Based Family Affirmation Workshop.
A research-informed, interactive learning experience grounded in the Community Cultural Wealth framework developed by Tara J. Yosso, PhD. (2005).
This engaging workshop introduces the concept of Community Cultural Wealth, a strengths-based framework that highlights the powerful knowledge, traditions, resilience, and wisdom families carry across generations. Together we will explore how families nurture hope, build networks of support, and pass on cultural knowledge that empowers children and strengthens communities.
During the session, participants will:
• Identify the strengths and cultural assets present within their own families
• Learn practical ways to affirm and build family resilience
• Reflect on the wisdom, traditions, and knowledge passed across generations
• Participate in guided activities that help families map their cultural wealth
This workshop is welcoming to families who believe that families already possess powerful resources for growth and success.
We hope you will join us for this inspiring and affirming conversation.
